Claire Mc Dermott’s  art is inspired by microscopic studies on Plant anatomy by using drawing, painting and sculpture as a form of expression.   Her interest is spent flowers come from their captivating ability to go unnoticed yet are so exquisite.  Her artwork often begins as a representation of nature, but by developing each body of work the viewer can see the creative progress of the transformation from traditional art forms into the abstract.
